Kurzcharakteristik | As the final bastion in management, the process of strategic thinking is still viewed as a purely rational task. Only numbers, data, and facts are allowed during this process. However, this verdict is no longer in line with the findings of modern day psychology. Today, behavioral sciences and neurosciences justify our power of judgment holistically. Nobody only makes decisions with their head. With this in mind, the development of corporate strategies must be viewed in a new light. Rethinking strategy means – for long-term future planning – exploiting the specific human abilities and competencies that go far beyond understanding, reason and logic. This process will become the main area of interest. Its sustainable optimization is possible and promises an array of competitive advantages. In doing so, even subjects considered taboo for the business industry are being touched on and utilized, especially the world of our feelings and intuition. Here, the feeling of fear is significant; furthermore, the general feeling of the unconscious as well. All of this fosters the implementation of the strategy, strengthens the iden[1]tification within the company, and avoids expensive mistakes.
